Stocks are actually something very simple.
In 1602, the Dutch East India Company founded the world’s first publicly traded company. For the first time, people could buy shares in a company and thus participate directly in economic success. The idea was revolutionary – and it remains unchanged to this day: Stocks are ownership stakes in companies.
Nevertheless, stocks today are often presented as unnecessarily complicated or confused with speculation. Our conviction is different:
Stocks have nothing to do with gambling – they are about strategy.
This is exactly where MUMAK.me comes in.
MUMAK was founded to make stock analysis understandable and to help investors build their own portfolios strategically. The basis for this is the Umbrella strategy, an investment approach that combines geopolitical developments, fundamental data, market sentiment, and technical analysis.
What does MUMAK mean?
The name MUMAK stands for several things.
On one hand, MUMAK means “My Umbrella Stocks” – the selected core positions within the Umbrella strategy and the strategic foundation of a concentrated portfolio.
At the same time, MUMAK.me stands for MUMAK Media, the platform for research, market analysis, and investment ideas.
Furthermore, the term also refers to the MUMAK method – our structured form of analysis for stocks. Companies are evaluated based on clearly defined criteria in order to make well-founded investment decisions.
The long-term goal is for everyone interested to be able to learn how to build their own Umbrella strategy and manage their stock portfolio strategically.
Our vision is simple:
Explaining stocks as they truly are – understandable, logical, and strategic.
A portfolio works much like a football team. A good team consists of a few, carefully selected players. A coach decides when new players join the team, when positions are changed, and when a player needs to be replaced.
This is exactly how a portfolio is managed.
Our goal is for everyone interested in stocks to be able to learn how to become the coach of their own stock portfolio.
The term MUMAK is also inspired by the Mûmakil, the powerful elephants from literature – a symbol of strength and weight in the portfolio. Our Umbrella stocks are intended to represent exactly such strong, strategically important positions.
The Founders
Richard Dobetsberger
Founder · Social Trader · Developer of the Umbrella Strategy
Richard Dobetsberger developed the Umbrella strategy, a structured investment approach that combines geopolitical developments, fundamental data, market sentiment, and technical analysis.
He studied Molecular Biology at the University of Vienna and combined his studies with a focus on political science. Later, he completed an MBA specializing in capital markets, company analysis, research, and social trading.
This combination of scientific methodology, geopolitical thinking, and capital market practice forms the basis of his investment approach.
The Umbrella strategy has been implemented publicly since 2012 and is one of the long-term successful strategies on the European social trading platform Wikifolio.
Today, Richard focuses on research, strategy development, and the further development of the Umbrella method for investors.
Lina Mosentseva
Co-Founder · Head of Research
Lina Mosentseva has been intensively involved with stock markets, social trading, and financial analysis for over ten years.
She combines classic company analysis with modern digital financial communication and ensures that complex market developments are presented in an understandable way.
She has been working within the Umbrella strategy environment since 2017 and is now responsible for company analysis, market observation, portfolio monitoring, and the preparation of research for investors and the financial community.
As Head of Research, she ensures that all content on MUMAK.me is structured in a clear, well-founded, and strategically comprehensible manner.
